With this week’s challenge, show us what yellow means to you.
via Yellow.
Yellow and banana go hand in hand.
Obviously the color of a ripe banana skin is yellow.
To me, a banana is a fruit with yellow skin but I soon learned that yellow or banana means an Asian person, perhaps more specifically a Chinese person. I have no idea where the term came from but looking around me and the Chinese community, I failed to see any yellow in them. Most of them are either light brown or tanned and some are even faired skinned.
Nevertheless Yellow is a nice color and it signifies royalty to some nations.
Funny isn’t it? When we were younger, to call someone ‘yellow’ was to call them a coward. Thanks for dropping in on my site, and all the very best for Christmas. KP

Thank you for visiting my site too, KP. Indeed I never knew when I was young that ‘yellow’ means a certain race. On a positive note, yellow is the color of the sultan’s robes. Royalty, indeed. 🙂

I love your yellow photos. I had forgotten to add my banana photo, until I read someone else’s blog. Then I visit your blog, and find a great photo of bananas and 25 reasons to eat them. That was great information! Thanks 🙂
